Provided CQA services for the installation of a groundwater remediation system at a former hazardous waste disposal site.  CQA services included onsite observation of all aspects of system installation and construction activities.  Special inspections included air pressure leak testing of the groundwater transmission and secondary containment piping, system startup checks, and correct equipment operation and triggers.

In addition to conventional site inspection services, technological skills were used to provide near real-time communication and collaboration with the site manager located in another state.  Custom web forms were created to enter site information on a daily basis.  Web form submittal triggered workflows to perform the following:

• Automatically generate daily reports as editable and read-only documents.

• Update a project-specific website made available to the owner with the daily summary, report files, and photo log.

• Distributed an email to the appropriate project personnel that included a summary of the day's activities and included the daily report as an attachment.

• Saved project files to cloud storage system embedded within website.

CQA services were recorded in a comprehensive report that detailed the construction process, equipment specifications and installation procedures, as-built drawings, and test results.  Following CQA, the operations and maintenance manual was prepared under a separate contract.  The system went into operation in 2018 and has provided the owner significant cost savings by treating groundwater onsite instead of collection and transport to an offsite treatment facility, as had been done previously.
